Phil Pinto is an award winning New York-based director whose work melds narrative, documentary and design-driven techniques to the worlds of music, fashion, sports and advertising.
What began with high school skate videos has evolved into a list of diverse collaborators and clients. Phil has worked with a variety of acclaimed artists, including Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Diplo, Sleigh Bells, and Black Lips to name a few. He has helmed advertising projects for the likes of Adidas, Dior, Google, Intel, Lexus, Spotify, and Vogue Magazine.
Phil enjoys the unusual distinctions of having shot the first (and, at present, only) motion cover for Vogue Magazine, staring Beyoncé, as well as being a Japanese VMA winner (Best Male Pop Video) for his work with Bruno Mars. He won a Webbie for his viral #PartyHardMoms campaign for Hefty, and his Diplo “Revolution” music video was an official selection of the SXSW Film Festival.
His video for Charlie Puth & Selena Gomez’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore” has reached over 2 billion views since its release.
Phil is currently developing short and long form narrative projects while continuing his commercial and music video work, while adding an irreverent wink whenever possible.
